Gallatin Power is a renewable energy development firm headquartered in Bozeman, Montana, focused on building local partnerships to develop sustainable energy projects that benefit the local community, landowners, and the environment.

With extensive solar, wind, and battery development experience spanning from California to Massachusetts, Gallatin Power understands the importance of working with the local community and the end customer to ensure that all stakeholders' interests are represented. Each project is designed through an iterative process to optimize the site with the latest proven technology and an emphasis on longevity to ensure performance is maintained for the life of the project.

Adam Schumaker, President

Adam guides Gallatin Power's overall development strategy and project investment.

Adam began his solar energy career in 2007 as a solar PV installer after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Adam has worked in various aspects of the solar industry, including project management, project acquisitions, and greenfield project development. Prior to founding Gallatin Power, Adam successfully developed a portfolio of solar and battery storage projects in Massachusetts, representing a total project value of over $200 million. Before his success in Massachusetts, Adam was the Director of Business Development for sPower, previously one of the country's largest privately-held solar independent power producers. There Adam was responsible for the project management and acquisition of hundreds of megawatts of successfully completed projects. Adam also led the strategic development initiative to create a 13 gigawatt portfolio of greenfield solar and wind assets.

Kirsten Eliassen, VP Development

Kirsten manages the permitting, interconnection, and pre-construction engineering for Gallatin Power's portfolio.

After graduating from the University of Utah with a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Kirsten began her renewable energy career as a Project Manager at sPower, successfully managing many of the projects that contributed to sPower's 2-gigawatt operating portfolio. By the time Kirsten left sPower, she had been promoted to Senior Manager of Business Development and was responsible for overseeing the development of a 13 gigawatt portfolio of solar & wind early-stage assets.

Jeff L. Fox,VP Land & Community Affairs

Jeff manages landowner relationships, community outreach and regulatory & policy involvement at Gallatin Power.

Jeff spent the previous decade helping renewable energy developers overcome obstacles to successful projects, advancing a greater understanding of the northwest's transmission system and championing cost-effective additions of renewable resources to meet local and regional needs as the Senior Manager of Transmission, Markets & Montana Policy at Renewable Northwest. He is accustomed to regulatory proceedings and has served on numerous energy-related working groups. Jeff also serves on the board of the Northwest Energy Coalition, the Northwest’s broadest alliance of energy interests designing, promoting, and implementing clean, affordable, and equitable energy policy.
